Royal Mail had a well developed Shared Service operation, within which lay a large recruitment function which engaged c20,000 perm hires a year and a further 20,000 Christmas temps. The recruitment processes were historically very paper based, administrative in nature, with a huge advertising spend centered on traditional National and Regional press.
Key Components
The key components of this project were:
- Implementation of a direct web based recruitment strategy
- implementation of an on-line bespoke behavioural screen
- reduction in overall function costs
- reduction in cost per hire and time to hire
- creation of real-time Management Information to allow pro-active decision making and planning
