Recruitment at Cable & Wireless was essentially broken and had been for some time. Peak Talent was tasked with designing and implementing a new function that would take advantage of new technologies and, above all else, would dramatically drive down costs. This he did successfully in a very short timeframe and was instrumental in persuading myself, and the business, to adopt or incorporate ideas and capability we had not previously considered. Chief amongst these was an 'in-house search' capability which broke our reliance on traditional Search firms, as well as an innovative 'transactional cost model' which dramatically changed and drove hiring behaviours.
